Affiliate Program
Terms
Introduction
1. If you have a web site, you can apply to participate as an Affiliate with Balloon Planet. We reserve the right to determine if the content of your site is compatible with our business.
2. Registration is necessary. After reading the terms below, you can access our application by clicking on the "Join Now" link at the top or bottom of this page. Completing the application indicates that you agree to the terms and conditions noted on this page. Applicants are initially approved when the application form is submitted. Final approval is subject to a review of your web site.
Getting Credit ? Online & Phone
1. Once your application is completed, you will be provided with a link which includes a code specific to your site. Your web master must install this coded link within your site, which will permit our system to track customers which originate from your site. This link can be installed with one of the Balloon Planet logos, available on our web site for this purpose, or with a suitable text term. If you elect not to use the Balloon Planet logo, the most effective text term is NATIONWIDE BALLOON DELIVERY. We recommend that you not use our business name as a text term, since it does not clearly indicate what service we provide to visitors on your site.
2. When a customer enters our site by clicking on your site's link, then places an order during their initial visit, your account will receive credit for the sale. If the customer leaves our site, then later returns and places an order, our system cannot track this activity, thus it is not possible to credit you for the sale.
3. When a customer places an order by phone, we ask them which source provided the referral. If they identifiy you as the source, we will enter your code as part of the order's record and you will receive a commission.
Commissions & Payment
1. A 5% commission is paid on the total value of the products ordered with every online and phone order traced to your company. Commissions are not paid on delivery charges, taxes, and processing fees.
2. If an order is changed prior to delivery, the commission will be paid on the revised value of the merchandise. This change will not be shown in your online account, but it will be noted on your hard copy statement which will be issued with payment.
3. Commissions will not be paid for cancelled orders.
4. Commissions are paid quarterly, as follows:
January 15 - Orders delivered October, November, December
April 15 - Orders delivered January, February, March
July 15 - Orders delivered April, May, June
October 15 - Orders delivered July, August, September
Commissions will be paid only if they exceed $50, otherwise, the payable amount will be rolled over into the following quarter.
All payments are made by check and issued in US Dollars.
5. Printed statements will be mailed with payments. In months where no payments are due, no statement will be mailed.
Changes
Balloon Planet reserves the right to change or discontinue the Affiliate Program with 30 days notice. Any changes will be communicated to the email address associated with your account. You may discontinue participation in the program at any time, with a resignation notice sent to the administrator by email. Balloon Planet reserves the right to terminate your participation at any time without notice or cause.
