Watching the trailer for Pixar’s new film, Up, I couldn’t help but see a few things from the Northwest in this upcoming film. Where Carl Frederickson, a 78 year old crank, owns a home surrounded by highrise construction, here in Seattle we had 86 year old Edith whose house (pictured above) was surrounded by a major condo development. And where Carl decides to go on a balloon-powered adventure without leaving his home, we had Kent Couch from Bend, OR who went on a balloon-powered adventure without leaving his lawn chair.

The film is out in cinemas May 29, 2009.
